HomeMy WebLinkAboutA002 - Letter dated March 2, 1995 from Don Newbrough sQ 0 March 2, 1995 3122 Ross Rd. Ames, Iowa 50014 Dear Mayor and Members of the Ames City Council: There were typographical errors in the third and forth sentences of my letter to you dated February 27, 1995. The sentences should have read: "Your action in adopting the new ordinance is perceived to lay to rest your previous deliberations to sell or transfer the hospital to others. If my perception is correct, I approve of your action" . If my perception is incorrect and you have plans to in some way convert the hospital to a private operation or to permit the city owned hospital to avoid Iowa 's open meeting laws, I object to your adopting the new ordinance. Further, if my perception is incorrect I hope you will announce your plans to the public. From time to time I have heard comments to the effect that the change in the ordinance is only the beginning. What does that mean? Sinc rely, D. R. New ou cc: City Clerk for the records
