OF THE CITY OF AMES, IOWA, ADOPTED BY SECTION 29.5 4V
OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF AMES, IOWA; fo$ �.
CHANGING THE BOUNDARIES OF THE DISTRICTS ESTABLISHEDpAMI
AND SHOWN ON SAID MAP AS PROVIDED IN SECTION 29.6 10$
OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF AMES, IOWA; WOO
REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES AND PARTS OF ORDINANCES
IN CONFLICT HEREWITH AND ESTABLISHING AN EFFECTIVE DATE
BE IT HEREBY ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Ames, Iowa:
Section 1: The Official Zoning Map of the City of Ames, Iowa, adopted by
Section 29.5 of the Municipal Code of the City of Ames, Iowa, is amended by
changing the boundaries of the districts established and shown on said Map in the
manner authorized by Section 29.6 of the Municipal Code of the City of Ames,
Iowa, as follows:
That the following generally described real estate will be rezoned from R-3
(Medium-Density Residential) to P-C (Planned-Commercial) : Property located at
2406 and 2416 Grand Avenue.
PROPERTY DESCRIPTION: Lot 1 of Speck's Subdivision in the City of Ames, Story
County, Iowa, and commencing at the SW corner of the NW 1/4 NW 1/4, Section 35,
Township 84 North, Range 24 West of the 5th P.M. , Story County, Iowa; thence
N1o28'W, 177.85 feet (178.00 feet deeded) to the point of beginning; thence
N89004151" E (N890101E, deeded) 216.54 feet (216.97 feet deeded) ; thence
NO051'34"W (No o50'W deeded) , 125.0 feet; thence S89004157" W (S890101W deeded),
217.86 feet (218.7 feet deeded) ; thence S1o28'E. 125.0 feet to the point of
beginning, now a part of the City of Ames, Story County, Iowa, and being subject
to road right-of-way along Grand Avenue.
Section 2. Use Restrictions: Pursuant to Section 29.24 (2) (b) Ames
Municipal Code, the list of impermissible uses consists of any and all uses
except:
(a) Business Office
(b) Professional Office (including medical and dental offices that meet or
exceed the Zoning Ordinance minimum off-street parking requirements for
such uses)
(c) Bank
Section 3: All other ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict.
Section 4: This ordinance is in full force and effect from and after its
adoption and publication as provided by law.
