i Be it orel rinPd by the City Council of the -'
City of Ames, Iowa.
Section 1 1he City Solicitor shall receive a
.�salary of One hundred Dollars per month as �
' full compensation fur all trials in the. MaYor's
court, that be is rcyue,tod to attend; for at-
tendancej
at the meetin of the. city council, y.
j for all opinions render o the council,the mayor
and other officers of the city; for the draw-
ing of cunt.-acts to which the city is a Party.
ithe preparation of ordinances and resolutions, j
I and all other real bu.;ire>s of the city, ex-
cept as hereinafter provided.
Section 2. Ile shall have an-office in the T r
city hall and such office shall be the two
rooms now occupied by the present solicitor.
Section '. For all cases in the district, su
$reme and federal courts, he shall receive r f
reasonable fee for his services which fee shall �-
i i be passed upon and allowed by the city council -
I and paid as other claims. {.
Section 4. If at any tame the council shall
order,a nroeral r�vi-ion of the ordinnnces of
the city he shall receive such extra eompen
sation as the council may deem right and
' proper.
Section 5. He shall be reimbursed for all i
money necessarily c q ended and actually paid f a
cut in attendm- to his official business, which
expenses, after a full revere as to the amount
I ' chimed, and for wh rt purpose, shall be passed !{ ,
upon by the council and paid as other claims. i
Section G. All ordinances or parts of ordi-
nances in conflict herewith are hereby re-
t ! pealed.
