AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF
AMES, IOWA, BY ENACTING NEW SUBSECTIONS 18.31(197), (198),
(199) , AND (200) FOR THE PURPOSE OF PROHIBITING PARKING ON
PORTIONS OF SCHUBERT STREET, NORRIS STREET, WILDER BOULE-
VARD, AND FROST DRIVE IN BENTWOOD SUBDIVISION; REPEALING
ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; ESTABLISHING A PENAL-
TY AND SETTING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED, by the City Council for the City of Ames, Iowa:
Section One. The Municipal Code of the City of Ames, Iowa is hereby amend-
ed by enacting new Subsections 18.31(197) , (198) , (199) , and (200) as follows:
11(197) SCHUBERT STREET. On the segment in Bentwood Subdivi-
sion, First Addition, parking is prohibited at all times on the
north and east side from the east end to the cul da sac.
(198) NORRIS STREET. Parking is prohibited at all times on the
north and east sides from the west end to the cul da sac.
(199) WILDER BOULEVARD. Parking is prohibited at all times on
both sides from Lincoln Way to Schubert Street and on the east
side from Schubert Street to the south end.
(200) FROST DRIVE. Parking is prohibited at all times on the
north and east sides from Wilder Boulevard to the cul da sac."
Section Two. Violation of the provisions of this ordinance shall constitute
a simple misdemeanor punishable by a fine not to exceed $100 or by imprisonment
for not more than 30 days.
Section Three. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith
shall be repealed to the extent of such conflict if any.
Section Four. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after its passage and publication as required by law.
