AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF
AMES, IOWA, BY ENACTING A NEW SUBSECTION 18.31(188) FOR THE
PURPOSE OF PROHIBITING PARKING ON SONDROL AVENUE; REPEAL-
ING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; ESTABLISHING A
PENALTY AND SETTING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED, by the City Council for the City of Ames, Iowa:
Section One. The Municipal Code of the City of Ames, Iowa is hereby amend-
ed by enacting a new Subsection 18.31(188) as follows:
"(188) SONDROL AVENUE. Parking is prohibited at all times on
both sides from East Lincoln Way to and including the circle at the
north end of Sondrol."
Section Two. Violation of the provisions of this ordinance shall constitute
a simple misdemeanor punishable by a fine not to exceed $100 or by imprisonment
for not more than 30 days.
Section Three. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith
shall be repealed to the extent of such conflict if any.
Section Four. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after its passage and publication as required by law.
