AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF
AMES, IOWA, BY REPEALING SUBSECTIONS 22.9(24), (26), (27),
(54), (63) AND ENACTING NEW SUBSECTIONS 22.9(24), (26), (27),
(54), (63), (68), (69), (70), (71), (72), AND (73) FOR THE PURPOSE
OF DESIGNATING ADDITIONAL PORTIONS OF STREETS AS SNOW
ROUTES; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH;
ESTABLISHING A PENALTY AND SETTING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED, by the City Council for the City of Ames, Iowa:
Section One. The Municipal Code of the City of Ames, Iowa is hereby amend-
ed by repealing Subsections 22.9(24), (26), (27), (54), (63) and enacting new
Subsections 22.9(24), (26), (27) , (54), (63), (68), (69), (70) , (71), (72), and
(73) as follows:
"(24) Hayes Avenue from Twentieth Street to the intersection with
Eisenhower Avenue.
(26) Hoover Avenue from Twenty-Fourth Street to the north line of
Bloomington Road.
(27) Hyland Avenue from Lincoln Way to the south line of Ontario
Road."
(54) Storm Street from the west line of Ash Avenue to its intersection
with Hayward Avenue.
(63) Walnut Avenue from the south line of Lincoln Way to South Fifth
Street.
(68) Oakland Street from Franklin Avenue to Hyland Avenue.
(69) S.E. Fifth Street from South Duff east to its east end.
(70) Wheeler Avenue from Hoover Avenue to Roy Key Avenue.
(71) Ken Maril Road from Duff Avenue to Viola Mae.
(72) Viola Mae from Ken Maril Road to Garden Road.
(73) Roy Key Avenue from Thirtieth Street to Wheeler Avenue."
Section Two. Violation of the provisions of this ordinance shall constitute
a simple misdemeanor punishable by a fine not to exceed $100 or by imprisonment
for not more than 30 days.
Section Three. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith
shall be repealed to the extent of such conflict if any.

Section Four. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after its passage and publication as required by law.
