HomeMy WebLinkAboutA001 - Letter dated August 20, 1993 from Kenneth E. Kopecky From the desk of: DR. KENNETH E. KOPECKY August 20, 1993 Scott Logan Traffic Engineer City of Ames Ames IA 50010 Dear Scott: This letter is in reference to the parking situation on Meadowlane Ave. near Carr ' s pool. On warm summer days when the pool is in heavy use, cars park on both side of Meadowlane north of the Carr Drive intersection. Though the street might have been designed and built to allow parking and moving traffic, four cars abreast created an very tight situation. The situation is made wotse by the fact that there can also be pedestrian cross traffic, usually children, coming from between parked car. I think the situation can be remedied by not allowing any parking on the east side of Meadowlane that borders Parks and Recreation property. This would probably eliminate five or six parking places, but would make for a much safer roadway. Sincerely Kenneth E. Kopeck 1320 Meadowlane Ames IA 50010 232-9332 Copy to Judie Hoffman
