ORDINANCE NO. 3247
AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF
AMES, IOWA, BY REPEALING SUBSECTION 18.31(61) AS IT NOW EX-
ISTS AND ENACTING A NEW SUBSECTION 18.31(61) FOR THE PUR-
POSE OF PROHIBITING PARKING ON A PORTION OF HICKORY DRIVE;
REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; ESTABLISH-
ING A PENALTY AND SETTING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED, by the City Council for the City of Ames, Iowa:
Section One. The Municipal Code of the City of Ames, Iowa is hereby amend-
ed by repealing Subsection 18.31(61) and enacting a new Subsection 18.31(61) as
follows:
11(61) HICKORY DRIVE. Parking is prohibited at all times on both
sides from the north line of Lincoln Way to a point one hundred
(100) feet north of Westbrook Drive; and on the south and east
sides of Hickory Drive from a point one hundred (100) feet north
of Westbrook Drive to Woodland Street; and on the west side adja-
cent to 321 Hickory Drive for a distance of 120 feet."
Section Two. Violation of the provisions of this ordinance shall constitute
a simple misdemeanor punishable by a fine not to exceed $100 or by imprisonment
for not more than 30 days.
Section Three. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith
shall be repealed to the extent of such conflict if any.
Section Four. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after its passage and publication as required by law.
