AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE
CITY OF AMES, IOWA, BY ENACTING NEW SUBSECTIONS
18.31(170), 18.31(171) and 18.31(172) FOR THE PURPOSE OF
REGULATING PARKING ON GRANDWOOD DRIVE, SQUAW
CREEK DRIVE AND STONEHAVEN DRIVE; REPEALING ALL
ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; ESTABLISHING A
PENALTY AND SETTING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED, by the City Council for the City of Ames, Iowa:
Section One. The Municipal Code of the City of Ames, Iowa is
hereby amended by enacting new Subsections 18.31(170), 18.31(171)
and 18.31(172) as follows:
"(170) GRANDWOOD DRIVE. Parking is prohibited at all
times on the east side from South Third Street to Squaw
Creek Drive.
(171) SQUAW CREEK DRIVE. Parking is prohibited at all
times on the north side.
(172) STONEHAVEN DRIVE. Parking is prohibited at all
times on the west side from South Fourth Street to
Squaw Creek Drive."
Section Two. Violation of the provisions of this ordinance shall
constitute a simple misdemeanor punishable by a fine not to exceed $100
or by imprisonment for not more than 30 days.
Section Three. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith shall be repealed to the extent of such conflict if any.
Section Four. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage and publication as required by law.
