Section 1: The Official Zoning Map of the City of Ames, Iowa,
adopted by Section 29.5 of the Municipal Code of the City of Ames, Iowa,
is amended by changing the boundaries of the districts established and
shown on said Map in the manner authorized by Section 29.6 of the
Municipal Code of the City of Ames, Iowa, as follows:
That the following described property be rezoned from a C-1
(Commercial, Story County) zoning district to a G-I (General
Industrial, City of Ames) zoning district:
PROPERTY DESCRIPTION: A parcel in the north 350 feet, of the east
97 rods, of the northwest fractional quarter (NW Fri. 1/4) of Section 6
- T83N - R23W of the 5th P.M. , Story County, Iowa; except the
right-of-way for east 13th Street, described as follows:
"Commencing at the northeast (NE) corner of the northwest fractional
quarter (NW Fri. 1/4) of Section 6 - T83N - R23W of the 5th P.M. ,
Story County, Iowa; thence S 000 08' 00" E, 350.00 feet along the east
line of the NW Fri. 1/4 of said Section 6; thence west, 890.40 feet
along the south line of the north 350 feet of the east 97 rods, to the
point of beginnin%; thence continuing west, 320.10 feet along said
line; thence N 00 08' 00" W, 245.00 feet; thence east, 99.76 feet
along the south line of East 13th Street right-of-way; thence S 860 56'
54" E, 220.68 feet continuing along said right-of-way; thence S 000 08,
00" E, 233.10 feet to the point of beginning."
Section 2: All other ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict.
Section 3: This ordinance is in full force and effect from and after
its adoption and publication as provided by law.
ADOPTED THIS llth day of August, 1992.
