HomeMy WebLinkAbout~Master - Amending Official Zoning Map, Rezoning Property in Country Gables Subdivision STATE OF IOWA 1 12085 Story County SS NOT.No. I,1/n� Entered or taxation this STORY COUNTY, IOWA vD�, day of A.D. 19 D FILED FOR RECORD v Coc.r. or /�pI1 JUN 24 199 ''�W t/ B' UK CE NO. 3178 SWM L��VAN*KAMPF RmftRAQ FOOT AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP AUdhoeS POS OF THE CITY OF AMES, IOWA, ADOPTED BY SECTION 29.5 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF AMES, IOWA; CHANGING THE BOUNDARIES OF THE DISTRICTS ESTABLISHED AND SHOWN ON SAID MAP AS PROVIDED IN SECTION 29.6 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF AMES, IOWA; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES AND PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH AND ESTABLISHING AN EFFECTIVE DATE BE IT HEREBY ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Ames, Iowa: Section 1: The Official Zoning Map of the City of Ames, Iowa, adopted by Section 29.5 of the Municipal Code of the City of Ames, Iowa, is amended by changing the boundaries of the districts established and shown on said Map in the manner authorized by Section 29.6 of the Municipal Code of the City of Ames, Iowa, as follows: That the following described property, located east of U. S. Highway No. 69, east of Opal Drive, and West and North of Crystal Street in the proposed Country Gables Subdivision, be rezoned from an R-3 and R-3 PUD (Medium-Density Residential) zoning district to an R2-7 (Low-Density Residential) zoning district: PROPERTY DESCRIPTION: A part of the Southeast quarter (SE 1/4) of Section 14, Township 83 North, Range 24 West of the 5th P.M. , Story County, Iowa, described as follows: "Commencing at the Southeast corner of said Section 14� thence S 890 37' W, along the South line, 1963.4 feet; thence N 0 12' W,, 443.0 feet to the point of beginning; thence N 890 37' E, 350.0 feet to the point of beginning of a 100.32 foot radius curve concave to the Northwest; thence Northeasterly along said curved an arc distance of 157.26 feet, to a point of tangency; thence N 0 12' W, 409.2 feet to the point of beginning of a 198.82 foot radius curve concave to the Southeast; thence Northeasterly along said curve an arc distance of 149.56 feet; thence N 00 08' 20" E, 223.82 feet; thence N 89 51' 40" W, 505.0 feet; thence S 00 12' E, 873.31 feet to the point of beginning." Section 2: The Planned Unit Development (PUD) designation, which was established by Resolution No. 84-163, is removed from the R-2 PUD, located directly south and east of the R-3 PUD area. Section 3: All other ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict.
