AMES PUBLIC NOTICE

You are hereby notified that the City Council of the City of Ames, Story County,
Iowa, will meet at 7:30 p.m. on October 8, 1991, in the Council Chambers of the
City Hall, 515 Clark Avenue, Ames, Iowa, to consider a proposed amendment to the
Official Zoning Map of the City of Ames, Iowa, by changing the boundaries of the
districts as shown on said map as provided in Section 29.6 of the Municipal Code
of the City of Ames, Iowa, as follows:
That the following described real estate, located in Patio Homes West
Subdivision, Fourth Addition, Lots 1 through 26, is changed from R-2 PUD to R1-6
(Low-Density Residential) .
PROPERTY DESCRIPTION: Beginning at the northwest corner of Lot 9 in Patio Homes
West Third Addition, an Official Plat, Ames, Story County, Iowa; thence north
000-00'-00" east, a distance of 635.48 feet to the southerly right-of-way line of
the Chicago and North Western Railroad as it is presently established; thence
S800-58'35"E along the southerly right-of-way line of said Chicago and North
Western Railroad, a distance of 702.74 feet; thence S000-00'-00"E along the west
line of Outlot A in Patio Homes West Second Addition, an Official Plat, Ames,
Story County, Iowa, a distance of 271.97 feet; thence S890-40'-40"W along the
northerly line of Lot 16, and Indiana Street as it is presently established, in
Patio Homes West First Addition, an Official Plat, Ames, Story County, Iowa a
distance of 203.50 feet; thence S000-00'-00"E along the westerly right-of-way
line of said Indiana Street, a distance of 10.00 feet; thence S890-40'-40"W along
the northerly line of Lot 17 in said Patio Homes West First Addition, a distance
of 160.25 feet; thence S000-00'-00"E along the westerly line of Lots 17 thru 22
inclusive in said Patio Homes West First addition, a distance of 300.90 feet;
thence N900-00'-00"W along the northerly line of Lot 8 in said Patio Homes West
Third Addition, a distance of 160.25 feet; thence N450-09'-46"W along the
northerly right-of-way line of Kentucky Avenue as it is presently established, a
distance of 84.61 feet; thence N900-00'-00"W along the northerly line of Lot 9 in
said Patio Homes West Third Addition, a distance of 110.04 feet to the point of
beginning. Said tract of land being subject to and together with any and all
easements of record. Said tract of land contains 7.43 acres more or less.
This rezoning will be considered with the condition that an 8-foot wide easement
along the west property line of Lot 33, Patio Homes West, First Addition, be
dedicated to the City of Ames, and a 4-foot wide concrete or asphalt walkway be
constructed on this easement as a means of access to the park located north of
Lot 33.
You are hereby notified that the ordinance incorporating such change is on file
in the Office of the City Clerk. Any interested person may appear for or against
the proposed ordinance.
