SUBJECT: Revising the City meter map for the parking lot adjacent to
the Depot Annex.
BACKGROUND:
Parking requirements are changed in the Depot Annex's parking lots since
the City offices were moved to the new City Hall. Now that the City Hall
parking lots contain sufficient parking needs for full-time employees, the
spaces reserved for these employees in the Depot Annex's gravel lot can
be used for parking by the City's part-time employees and the public.
Also, since there will be no need for "Authorized Vehicle Only" and "30
min. - Free" parking designations in the paved lot next to the Depot,
these spaces can be reverted to paid "Tic-Fak" parking. Currently the
Depot Annex's parking Lot T (gravel lot) contains 50 parking spaces for
the City employees and Lot U contains six "30 Min. - Free" spaces and 21
"Authorized Vehicle Only" spaces. Proposed is to revise the parking
meter map to include only free parking in Lot T (gravel lot) and paid
parking only in the Lot U.

ALTERNATIVES
1. Revise the City's parking meter map to include only "Free" parking
in Lot T and paid "Tic-Fak" parking in Lot U.
2. Deny the request.
MANAGER'S RECOMMENDED ACTION:
It is recommended by the City Manager that the City Council adopt alter-
native number 1 above, and direct the City Attorney to prepare an
ordinance changing the City's meter map to include only "free parking" in
Lot T and paid "Tic-Fak" parking in Lot U.
