HomeMy WebLinkAboutA020 - Richardson Court Association - Resolution No. 89-004R - Endorsing over/under ordinance RICHARDSON COURT ASSOCIATION Assembly Resolution #89-004R February 5 , 1990 "Endorsing Over/Under Ordinance" WHEREAS : The socialization process is an important part of the university experience, and WHEREAS : Different atmospheres help to enhance this process, and WHEREAS : The over/under ordinance provides a controlled environment for students to socialize in, and WHEREAS : This ordinance gives students a place to socialize , dance, and have fun, and WHEREAS: The establishments that currently participate in the over/under ordinance are dance bars, ind WHEREAS : This unique atmosphere cannot be attained elsewhere, and WHEREAS : We as students have seen and experienced the benefits of this ordinance, and WHEREAS : We as students wish for the ordinance to continue , be it therefore RESOLVED: That the RCA Assembly encourage the Ames City Council to renew the over/under ordinance, and be it further RESOLVED: That the RCA Assembly support and encourage the efforts of others such as GSB and IRHA to achieve this goal , and be it further RESOLVED: That copies of this resolution be sent to the following: Ames City Council & Mayor Curtis Adam Kanzmeier ( IRHA President ) Paul Thibodeaux (GSB President ) St .Clair, M. Employees at the entrance shall demand a picture ID from everyone entering. 2. All entering must have a band placed on their wrist, one color for those 19 and 20 years of age and another color for those 21 years ofage and older. 3 . This wrist band must be of a fluorescent type that is easily identifiable in low light conditions. 4. Each wrist band will be numbered and a corresponding log will be maintained at the entrance door with the name and date of birth of who was issued a particular wrist band. 5. As patrons leave, the band must be cut from their wrist, the name and number checked off the log, and the cut band retained. 6. The wrist band colors must be changed periodically (at least once a week) . 7. The returned wrist bands and corresponding log shall be retained for at least one week. 8. Each 19 or 20 year old will only be sold beverages in a clear plastic or clear glass container that is prominently marked with the words "non-alcoholic. " 9. No large containers, pitchers of beer or alcohlic drinks may be sold while underage persons are on the premises.
