SUBJECT: Proposed Requirements for Liquor License Establishments
Wishing a Permit for Underage Persons on Premises
After the meeting with liquor licensees on 6/8/89, I have decided to
revise the proposed requirements for those wishing to permit underage
persons on premises. The items listed below are the ones that those
licensees were advised would be presented to the Council on June 13,
1989.
1. Employees at the entrance shall demand a picture ID from everyone
entering.
2 . All entering that are 21 years of age or older must have a band
placed on their wrist.
3 . This wrist band must be of a florescent type that is easily
identifiable in low light conditions.
4. All entering that are 19 or 20 years of age must have the back of
their hand stamped. The stamp mark must be at least 1" in size and be
of a florescent type of ink.
5. As patrons leave, the band must be cut from their wrist.
6. The wrist band colors must be changed periodically (at least once a
week) .
7. Each 19 or 20 year old will only be sold beverages in a clear
plastic or clear glass container.
8. No large containers, pitchers of beer, or alcoholic drinks may be
sold while underage persons are on the premises.
