Home My WebLink About~Master - Amending Official Zoning Map (Rezoning Various Classifications to PI) K ORDINANCE NO. 2983 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP OF THE CITY OF AMES, IOWA, ADOPTED BY SECTION 29 . 5 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF AMES, IOWA; CHANGING THE BOUNDARIES OF THE DISTRICTS ESTABLISHED AND SHOWN ON SAID MAP AS PROVID- ED IN SECTION 29 . 6 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF AMES, IOWA, AND TO AMEND THE ZONING REGULATIONS PROVIDED IN SAID MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF AMES, IOWA; REPEAL- ING ALL ORDINANCES AND PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH AND ESTABLISHING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. BE IT HEREBY ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Ames, Iowa: SECTION 1. The Official Zoning Map of the City of Ames, Iowa, adopt- ed by Section 29.5 of the Municipal Code of the City of Ames, Iowa, is amended by changing the boundaries of the districts established and shown on said Map in the manner authorized by Section 29.6 of the Municipal Code of the City of Ames, Iowa, and amending the zoning regulations provided in said Municipal Code as follows: That the following described property be rezoned from various classi - fications to PI : PARCEL 1: ( Referred to as Tract 3) Rezoning from PC to PI . That part of the Southeast Quarter of the Northwest Quarter all in Section 15, Township 83 North , Range 24 West, Story County, Iowa, described as follows : Beginning at a point which is the intersection of the center lines of U.S. Route 30 bypass and Elwood Drive in the City of Ames ; thence south along the center line of Elwood Drive approximately 550 feet to the intersection of the center lines of Elwood Drive and Airport Road; thence east along said center line of Airport Road approximately 1,320 feet to a point; thence north approximately 690 feet to a point on the center line of U.S. Route 30 bypass; thence west along said center line of U. S . Route 30 bypass approximately 1, 330 feet to the place of beginning. PARCEL 2: (Referred to as Tract 12) Rezoning to PI upon annexation. That part of the North Half of the Southwest Quarter and part of the Southeast Quarter of the Northwest Quarter all in Section 15, Township 83 North, Range 24 West , Story GtOK_._.._.�PAGE_. ..�.� County, Iowa, described as follows: Commencing at the northeast corner of the Southwest Quarter of said Section 15; thence westerly on an Iowa State Plane Grid azimuth from north of 269 degrees 28 minutes 07 seconds along the north line of said Southwest Quarter 1078.80 feet to the southeasterly right-of-way line of the former Chicago and North Western Railroad and the point of beginning; thence southwesterly 212 degrees 37 minutes 21 seconds azimuth along said right-of-way line 1564. 15 feet to the inter- section of an existing fence line purported to be the south line of the North Half of the Southwest Quarter of said Section 15; thence westerly 269 degrees 46 minutes 42 seconds azimuth along a projection of said fence line 119.03 feet to the northwesterly right-of-way line of said former railroad; thence northeasterly 32 degrees 37 minutes 21 seconds azimuth along said right-of-way line 1563.38 feet to the north line of said Southwest Quarter; thence continuing northeasterly 32 degrees 37 minutes 21 seconds azimuth along said right-of-way line 1151.23 feet; thence southeasterly 136 degrees 00 minutes 45 seconds azimuth 102. 79 feet to the southeasterly right-of-way line of said former railroad ; thence southwesterly 212 degrees 37 minutes 21 seconds azimuth along said right-of-way line 1062.10 feet to the point of beginning. Said parcel con- tains 6. 13 acres more or less. PARCEL 3: (Referred to as Tract 13) Rezoning to PI upon annexation to the City of Ames . Said parcel contains 43.23 acres more or less. SECTION 2. All other ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict. SECTION 3.
