ORDINANCE NO. 2949
AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND THE MUNICIPAL CODE
OF THE CITY OF AMES , IOWA, BY ENACTING A
NEW SUBSECTION 18.21 (122) FOR THE PURPOSE
OF PROHIBITING PARKING ON GREEN HILLS DR. ;
REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF
ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; PROVIDING
FOR A PENALTY; AND ESTABLISHING AN EFFEC-
TIVE DATE
BE IT ENACTED, by the City Council for the City of Ames , Iowa:
Section One. The Municin al Code for the City of Ames ,
Iowa, shall be and is hereby amended by enacting a new sub-
section 18. 21 (122) to read as follows :
" (122) Green Hills Drive on both sides between
Oakwood Road and Elwood Drive and along both sides
of the center median on Green Hills Drive. "
Section Two. Violation of the provisions of this ordinance
shall constitute a misdemeanor punishable by a fine not to ex-
ceed $100 .00 or by imprisonment for a period not to exceed 30
days .
Section Three. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in
conflict herewith are hereby repealed to the extent of such
conflict.
Section Four. This ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage and publication as required
by law.
