ORDINANCE NO. 2948
AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF
THE CITY OF AMES, IOWA, BY ENACTING A NEW
SUBSECTION 18.24(12) FOR THE PURPOSE OF LIMITING
PARKING TIME ON PART OF HIGH AVENUE; REPEALING
ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CON-
FLICT HEREWITH; PROVIDING FOR A PENALTY; AND
ESTABLISHING AN EFFECTIVE DATE
BE IT ENACTED, by the City Council for the City of Ames, Iowa:
Section One. The Municipal Code for the City of Ames, Iowa, shall be
and is hereby amended by enacting a new subsection 18.24(12) to read as
follows:
"(12) Sixty (60) minutes.
(a) High Avenue on the west side between Lincoln Way and a
point 198 feet south of Lincoln Way, Mondays through
Saturdays between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m."
Section Two. Violation of the provisions of this ordinance shall consti-
tute a misdemeanor punishable by a fine not to exceed $100.00 or by impri-
sonment for a period not to exceed 30 days.
Section Three. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict here-
with are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict.
Section Four. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after its passage and publication as required by law.
