Home My WebLink About~Master - Amending Official Zoning Map (Rezoning an Area From R-2 to R1-6, R2-PUD) ORDINANCE NO. 2942 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP OF THE CITY OF AMES, IOWA, ADOPTED BY SECTION 29.5 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF AMES, IOWA; CHANGING THE BOUNDARIES OF THE DISTRICTS ESTABLISHED AND SHOWN ON SAID MAP AS PROVIDED IN SECTION 29.6 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF AMES, IOWA, AND TO AMEND THE ZONING REGULATIONS PROVIDED IN SAID MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF AMES, IOWA; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES AND PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH AND ESTABLISHING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. BE IT HEREBY ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Ames, Iowa: SECTION 1. The Official Zoning Map of the City of Ames, Iowa, adopted by Section 29.5 of the Municipal Code of the City of Ames, Iowa, is amended by changing the boundaries of the districts established and shown on said Map in the manner authorized by Section 29.6 of the Municipal Code of the City of Ames, Iowa, and amending the zoning regulations provided in said Municipal Code as follows : That the following described property be rezoned from R-2 zoning district to R1-6 and R2-PUD zoning districts: (To R1-6) Beginning at the Southwest (SW) corner of the Southeast Quarter (SE 4) of Section 31 - T84N - R24W of the 5th P.M. , in the City of Ames, Story County, Iowa; thence N 890 40' 40" E, 322.45 feet along the south lin0f the SE ; of said Section 31; thence North, 599.10 feet along the west line of Patio Homes West First Addition; thence West, 160.25 feet; thence N 45° 09' 46" W, 84.61 feet; thence West, 110.04 feet; thence South, 660.41 feet; thence S 880 47' 25" E, 7.85 feet along the south line of the SW 4 of said Section 31, to the Point of Beginning; and (To R2-PUD) Commencing at the Southwest (SW) corner of the Southeast Quarter (SE 4) of Section 31 - T84N - R24W of the 5th P.M. , in the City of Ames, Story County, Iowa; thence N 890 40' 40" E, 322.45 feet along the south line of the SE ; of said Section 31; (the following calls are along the west and north sides of Patio Homes West First Addition ) thence North, 599.10 feet to the Point of Beginning; thence continuing North, 300.90 feet; thence N 89° 40' 40" E, 160.25 feet; thence North, 10.00 feet; thence N 890 40' 40" E, 203.50 feet to the Northeast (NE) corner of said Addition; thence North, 271.97 feet; thence N 800 58' 35" W, 702.74 feet along the south Right-of-Way (R.O.W. ) line of the Chicago & NorthWestern Railroad; BOOK RE- RECORDED Z --�--� BOOK o PAGE thence South, 635.48 feet; thence East, 110.04 feet; thence S 45' 09' 46" E. 84.61 feet; thence East, 160.25 feet to the Point of Beginning.
