AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY
OF AMES, IOWA, BY REPEALING SUBSECTION 18.24(7)(a) AND
ENACTING A NEW SUBSECTION 18.24(7)(a) FOR THE PURPOSE
OF CHANGING THE MAXIMUM FOUR HOUR TIME LIMIT FROM THE
SOUTH SIDE TO THE NORTH SIDE OF ELEVENTH STREET
BETWEEN DUFF AVENUE AND DOUGLAS AVENUE; REPEALING ALL
ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HERE-
WITH; PROVIDING FOR A PENALTY; AND ESTABLISHING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE
BE IT ENACTED, by the City Council for the City of Ames, Iowa:
Section One. The Municipal Code for the City of Ames, Iowa shall be
and is hereby amended by repealing Subsection 18.24(7)(a) thereof and
enacting a new Subsection 18.24(7)(a) as follows:
"(a) Eleventh Street on the south side from Duff Avenue to
Douglas Avenue and on the north side from Douglas Avenue
to Kellogg Avenue.
Section Two. Violation of the provisions of this ordinance shall con-
stitute a misdemeanor punishable by a fine not to exceed $100.00 or by
imprisonment for a period not to exceed 30 days.
Section Three. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict here-
with are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict.
Section Four. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after its passage and publication as required by law.
