THE CITY OF AMES, IOWA, BY REPEALING SECTION

BE IT ENACTED, by the Municipal Code for ("ity of Ames — Ordinance NO.

Section One. The Municipal Code of the City

by repealing Section 17.18 thereof and
enacting a new Section 17.18 as follows:
"Section 17.18. Beer and Liquor Sales by

It shall e the duty of persons who
sell beer and alcoholic beverages, and of
their employees, to demand and examine was published in said newspaper for
satisfactory evidence of the purchaser's age
if that person appears to be under the legal
age for.such purchase, before selling, giving
or otherwise providing beer or alcoholic consecutive weeks, the first
beverages to such person. and the last of said publication was on the
