The Ames City Council has adopted the attached ordinance relating to the sale of beer or alcohol. and relating to attempts to purchase beer and liquor by individuals under the legal age. This ordinance is being forwarded to your attention in the hope that you will be willing to work with the City of Ames to attempt to disseminate this infor- mation. Perhaps you would post a copy of the ordinance in an appropriate area in your facility. I would suggest that individuals working with the sale of beer and/or liquor become familiar with the ordinance. Any help from indivi- duals working with the youth to provide this information to those young people would be sincerely appreciated due to the fact that they will be directly affected. The City has a videotape which will be shown on Cable Channel 9 and which is available to be shown in the City Council Chambers by special arrangement. The tape is a recording of the semi-annual liquor control seminar sponsored by the Ames Police Department. This ordinance was discussed.
