HomeMy WebLinkAbout~Master - Establishing a Period of Amortization for 1984 Street Improvement Program No. 1 ORDINANCE NO. 2918 An Ordinance Establishing a Period of Amortization for the 1984 Street Improvement Program No. 1 WHEREAS, in strict compliance with Chapter 384 of the Code of Iowa, this Council did, pursuant to Resolution of Necessity duly adopted, order the construction of the 1984 Street Improvement Program No. 1, such improvements having been duly completed, the work accepted and the final assessment schedule as filed by the Engineers having been approved and adopted; and WHEREAS, this Council by resolution did confirm and conditionally levy the deficiencies which appear in the aforementioned final schedule of assessments and certify and order the filing of a listing of said deficiencies with the County Treasurer of Story County, and to the Building Inspector , being the City official charged with the responsibility of issuing building permits in the City, all in accordance with and in strict compliance with Section 384.63 of the Code of Iowa; and WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 384.63 of the Code of Iowa, it is necessary for the Council to establish by ordinance a period of amortization for the 1984 Street Improvement Program No. 1; NOW, THEREFORE, Be It Ordained by the Council of the City of Ames, in Story County, Iowa, as follows : Section 1 . That the amortization period shall commence on March 27, 1984, the date this Council finally adopted the resolution of necessity for the 1984 Street Improvement Program No. 1, and shall extend until July 1, 1994. Section 2. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith be and the same are hereby repealed, to the extent of such conflict. Section 3 . That if any section, provision or part of this ordinance shall be adjudged invalid or unconstitutional, such adjudication shall not affect the validity of the ordinance as a whole or any section, provision or part thereof not adjudged invalid or unconstitutional. -8- BELIN.
