HomeMy WebLinkAboutA001 - Council Action Form, September 19, 1984 T 1 • ITEPA # DATE: Se er 19, 19 COUNCIL ACTION FORM SUBJECT: Correction of Inaccuracies on Zoning Map as a Result of City-Wide Rezoning BACKGROUND: As part of the process of preparing the zoning map changes , there were some errors made in legal descriptions that affect the zoning district boundaries on the zoning map . These errors were typographical and descriptive in nature. The errors have been corrected, reviewed by the Planning and Zoning Commission and have been recommended to the City Council for approval . The Planning and Zoning Commission also recommends that the City Council conduct the necessary three (3) readings at one time to expedite this matter. The proposed ordinance and maps showing the affected areas is attached. • ALTERNATIVES: 1. Set a public hearing date to correct these inaccuracies and adopt the ordinance map amendment after the normal three readings. 2. Set a public hearing date to correct these inaccuracies and conduct the three readings at one time so as to expedite this matter as soon as possible. MANAGER'S RECOMMENDED ACTION: It it recommended by the City Manager that the Council adopt Alternative No. 2. This would allow for these inaccuracies to be corrected as soon as possible and thus minimize any possible confusion to landowners who may be affected. COUNCIL ACTION: • U.
