TIONS FOR AMES, IOWA
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a public hearing will be held by
the City Council of the City of Ames. Iowa, in the City Administration
Building located at the corners of Main and Pearle Streets in Ames, on
the 4th day of October, 1983, at 7:30 p.m. upon an ordinance to amend
the Municipal Code of the City of Ames, Iowa, so as to make revisions
and changes to the text of the city's zoning regulations. Those revi-
sions and changes pertain to: adding "Supervised Group Homes" as a
permitted use in all residential zones; revising provisions on non-
conforming structures and uses; allowing as a permitted use certain
residential structures and uses lawfully established before an area was
down-zoned to a more restrictive district; provisions for application of
the 112-7 district to built-up area; to allow for mixed commercial and
residential uses in the C-C and G-C districts; some clarification of
wording in the P-C and G-I districts; to require landscape plans in the
G-I'district; changing the rules on the maximum size of garages and
_. accessory buildings; revising rules for average front yard depth;
repealing an unused section on reduction of lot size in new sub-
divisions: changing off-street parking requirements; revising PUD
procedures: clarifying definition of two-family dwelling; and changing
