One of the items on the agenda is a hearing on the proposed vacation of a portion of loth Street. Since your property is within 200 feet of the proposed vacation, you are invited to attend the City Council meeting to express your opinions either for or against the proposal . T LEGAL NOTICE TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN: At the September 13, 1983, meeting of the Ames City Council consideration will be given to the enactment of an ordinance to vacate that portion of Tenth Street lying between Ridgewood Avenue and the Chicago and Northwestern Transportation Company except for a strip of land 24' in width centered on a line more particularly described as follows: Commencing at the southwest corner of Lot 9, Ridgewood Addition and running thence south along the east line of Ridgewood Avenue 25 feet to the point of beginning; thence east 155.35 feet to the west line of the C & NW Transportation Company. All located in the City of Ames, Story County, Iowa, and containing 0.086 acres which excepted portion shall be retained as a public alley and thorough- fare in the City of Ames, Iowa. Any person interested in and desiring to be heard with respect to this matter may then appear and be heard.
