It is my opinion that the position of Sundstrand is clearly stated as to the companies future in Ames. I also wish to compliment the Electric Utility Advisory Committee for their recommendation to the Ames City Council regarding a solution to the expiration of Sundstrand's contract with the Municipal Electric Utility. This appears to offer both the City and Sundstrand time to work out a solution that will be equitable to both parties. We hope the Ames City Council will follow this recommended proceedure.
