M E M O R A N D U M
TOi Betty Jo Harker, Secretary, Utility Retirement Board
FROM: Don Setterberg, Chairman, Utility Retirement Board
DATE s May 6, 1982
SUBJECTi Revisions to the Utility Retirement System
The ordinance as written will take effect after passage and publication
as required by law. The intent of the Board was to have these changes take
effect July 1, 1982 to coincide with other payroll changes. At that time,
employee contributions will go from 5% to 5.55% and utility contributions
from 7% to 7.55%.
I am asking the City Attorney to _.amend Section Three to read "This
ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage
and publication as required by law but not before July 1, 1982". Or as
he deems appropriate to accomplish this.
