AN ORDINANCE DESIGNATING AN AREA OF AMES, IOWA AS`A STATE OF IOWA, STORY COUNTY, ss.
REVITALIZATION AREA WHICH SHALL BE KNOWN AS URBAN
REVITALIZATION PLAN AREA NO. 3
WHEREAS, pursuant, to the provisions of Chapter 404, Code of Iowa 1981, the bW&I �ft)& ms• Robert J.

September 22, 1981, determined, for an area within the city, described
,generally as encompassing all of Freel Drive and the commercial'/industrial DAILY TRIBUNE, a daily newspaper, printed at
areas on both sides of East Lincoln Way (See attached map.), as follows:

B. That the redevelopment of the said area is necessary in the interest
of the public health, safety or welfare of the residents of the City of Ames,
Iowa; and, Ordinance No 2800
WHEREAS, pursuant to the requirement of Sec. 404.2(2) Code ofIowa, the city
staff prepared a proposed plan for said Revitalization Area, filed a copy
thereof with the City Development Boardby the fourteenth day before the
first scheduled public hearing, and mailed notice thereof to all owners of
record of property within said Revitalization Area at least 30 days prior to
the scheduled hearing; and, was published in said newspaper for 1
WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of Chapter 404, the Code, a public
hearing on the said proposed plan has beed held; and, consecutive weeks,the first
WHEREAS, the said revitalization plan for the area has been adopted by Ames and the last of said publication was On the
City Council Resolution No. 81-373 Enacted on November 24, 1981;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Ames., Iowa: 3-1st day of nPc PmhP-r
Section One. That in accordance with Chapter 404, Code of Iowa, and in -
consideration of the recitations set out in the preamble hereof, the area 1981
formed by contiguous real estate parcels with a metes and bounds description /
as follows:
Beginning at the midpoint of the intersection of Lincoln ffflLL���
Way and tarnegie Avenue thence northerly along the Sworn to before me an 'sub cribed in my presence
centerline of Carnegie Avenue approximately 426.3 feet;

mately 412.5 feet; thence southerly 520 feet to the Jacobsen.
