Dear Mrs . Blair,
Mayor Goodland met with me this morning and asked that I convey to you
exactly what happened last night in connection with the massage parlor
issue. He was going to be out of town today and dictated the following
to me:
" I listened to the WOI news last night and was concerned be-
cause the implication was made that there was no concern of
the Council and Mayor for your difficulty. Again, we do have
great concern but we want to handle it in a way that it will
not be thrown out of court but in such a way that we will have
an ordinance formed by the City Attorney that will be enforceable
and will help your situation. "
Last evening the Council voted to refer the matter to the City Attorney
for preparation of a proper ordinance dealing with enforcement and
licensing of massage parlors.
Respectfully,
C I/riC •
