AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF
THE CITY OF AMES, IOWA, BY REPEALING SUB-
SECTION 18. 23(1) THEREOF AND ENACTING A NEW
SUBSECTION 18.23(1) AND A NEW SUBSECTION 18.23(5)
ALL FOR THE PURPOSE OF CHANGING ALTERNATE
SIDE PARKING REGULATIONS ON ARBOR STREET;
REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF
ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH TO THE EXTENT
OF SUCH CONFLICT, IF ANY; AND ESTABLISHING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE
BE IT ORDAINED, by the City Council for the City of Ames, Iowa:
Section One. The Municipal Code of the City of Ames, Iowa, shall be
and is hereby amended by repealing subsection 18.23(1) thereof and enacting
a new subsection 18.23(1) to read as follows:
"(1) From 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. :
(a) Burnett Avenue from Sixth Street to Thirteenth Street.
(b) Clark Avenue from Seventh Street to Thirteen Street.
(c) Douglas Avenue from Seventh Street to Eleventh Street.
(d) Eighth Street from Grand Avenue to Duff Avenue.
(e) Kellogg Avenue from Seventh Street to Eleventh Street.
(f) Oak Avenue from the south line of Second Street south
a distance of one hundred and eighty-eight (188) feet.
(g) Seventh Street from Duff Avenue to Grand Avenue."
Section Two. The Municipal Code of the City of Ames, Iowa, shall be
and is hereby further amended by enacting a new subsection 18.23(5) to
read as follows:
11(5) From 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m . on Arbor Street from State
Avenue to South Sheldon Avenue. "
Section Three. Any and all ordinances or parts of ordinances in con-
flict herewith are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict, if any.
Section Four. This ordinance shall he in full force and effect from and
after its passage and publication as required by law.
