WHEREAS, following a valid petition and calling of an election, [he
voters in a special election [hereon approved changing the term of
office for Mayor of the Ci[y of Ames from two years to four years all as
provided in Section 376.2 The Code; and, STATE OF IOWA, STORY CO
UNTY, ss.
WHEREAS, it is necessary to complement said change by appropriate
amendments to the City Charter ordinance required by Sec. 372.1 The
Code and to the Ames Municipal Codc;

NOW, THEREFORE,-BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the Ci[y Jacobsen, On oath depose and sa

Section one. The Ames City Charter Ordinznce, ordinance DAILY TRIBUNE, a dolly newspaper, printed at
Number 2 1 enacted on July I, 1975 shall be and is hereby amended
by repealing Section 6 thereof as said section has e:risted heretofore, Ames,Story COUflty,IOWa;that the annexed printed
and enacting a new Section 6 to'read as follows:
