AN ORDIK1, CE MENDING THE OFFICIAL ZONING PMAP OF THE CITY OF AMES, IOWA,
ADOPTED BY SECTION 38-1005 OF THE ANNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF MISS, IOWA;
CHANGING TILE BOUNDARIES OF TILE DISTRICTS ESTABLISHED AND SHOWN ON SAID MAP
AS PROVIDED IN SECTION 38-1006 OF TILE ANNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF At1ES,
IOIVA, AND TO At T-ND THE ZONING REGULATIONS PROVIDED IN SAID t"I[NICIPAL CODE
OF THE CITY OF AMES, IOWA; REPEALING ALL ORDII ANCES AND PARTS OF ORDIt1A`ICES
IN CONTLICT HERE;VITH AND ESTABLISHING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Ames, Iowa:
Section 1. Zoning Asap Amended. The Official Zoning Flap of the City
of Ames, Iowa, adopted by Section 33-1005 of the Municipal Code of the
City of Ames, Iowa, is amended by changing the boundaries of the districts
established and shown on said 'gap in the manner authorized by Section 38-
1006 of the Minicipal Code of the City of Ames, Iowa, and amending the
coning regulations provided in said Pbnicipal Code by rezoning certain
areas as follows:
a. Rezone from R-2 (Two-family dwelling) to R-3 (Multiple-family
dwelling) land described as:
Lots 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, and 21 of Block 3, Briley's Addition
Beginning at the southwest corner of Lot 21 of Block 3, Briley's
Addition, thence west 60' , northeast 292.8' to north line of
Lot 17 extended, thence east 14' to the northwest corner of
Lot 17 of Block 3, Briley's Addition, thence south to original
point of beginning.
b. Rezone from R-4 (Multiple-family dwelling) to R-3 (AUltiple-
family dwelling) land described as:
Lots 3z, 4, 7, 19, 20, 21, 22, 31, 32, 33, 34, and 35 of Athletic
Park Addition to Ames, Iowa; and the west 163.3' of Lot 5,
Athletic Park Addition to Ames, Iowa.
c. Rezone from R-3 (Multiple-family dwelling) to R-2 (Two-family
dwelling) land described as:
Lots 11 2, 3, 43, 5, 6, and 7 of Block 1, Briley's Addition to
Ames, Iowa.
d. Rezone from R-3 (Aultiple-family dwelling) to R-2 (Two-family

Section 2. Repealer. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
heretivith are here y repealed to the extent of such conflict.
Section 3. Severability. If any section, provision, or part of this
ordinance shall be ajudged, for any reason, invalid or unconstitutional, either
on its face or as applied, such adjudication shall not affect the validity of
the ordinance as a whole or any section, provision, or part thereof not adjudged
invalid or unconstitutional.
Section 4. When Effective. This ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage, approval and publication as required by law.
