RESOLUTION LIMITING PERMITTED USES OF PROPERTY LOCATED AT 3514 LINCOLN WAY
UNDER C-5 ZONING
WHEREAS, there has been submitted to the City Council of the City of
Ames, Iowa, a request for rezoning from R-3 to C-5 property located at 3514
Lincoln Way by Iowa Realty Company, Incorporated; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Ames, Iowa, has passed on
first reading an ordinance incorporating such rezoning.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Ames, Iowa, that the following uses be the only permitted used under C-5
zoning for property located at 3514 Lincoln Way:
I. Apothecary Shop
2. Barber Shop
3. Beauty Shop
4. Business Office
5. Professional Office
6. Studio - photography, artist, dance or musician
and that the following uses be impermissible at the same location :
1. Gasoline Service Station
2. Grocery, Fruit or Vegetable Store
3. Hotel/Motel
4. Restaurant
5. Retail Store
6. Other similar retail and service establishments
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Ames ,
lowa, that the area presently ueiny used for residential purposes at 3514
Lincoln Way be restricted to only that use under C-5 zoning.
ADOPTED this 27th day of March, 1979.
