Switz Jr., Director July 13, 1978 Honorable Mayor and Members of Council Administration Building Main & Pearle Streets Ames, Iowa 50010 Re: Petition by Clarence Martin, et al , to rezone property located between SE 2nd Street and SE 5th Street east of S. Duff Avenue from C-2 to I-1. Honorable Mayor and Council Members: The Planning & Zoning Commission, during its regular meeting on July 5, 1978, considered the above request for rezoning and adopted the following motion by a vote of 6-0 (with Bledsoe being absent) : That the Commission recommend that the requested property, excluding Lots 1-6 and including "Parcel A" be rezoned from C-2 to I-1. A new legal description has been prepared, checked by the Engineering Division and filed with the City Clerk reflecting the Planning & Zoning Commission's recommendation that Lots 1-6 be excluded from the rezoning and that Parcel A be included in the rezoning. Please find attached a copy of the Department's staff report concerning this request including a revised map accurately reflecting the extent of desired and recommended rezoning.
