REQUEST FOR REZONING

City of Ames, Iowa:
I (We) , the undersigned owner (s) of the property described
below, do hereby respectfully request that the Zoning Ordinance
be amended as hereinafter designated; and in support thereof ,
the following facts are presented:
1. Legal description (use additional sheets, if necessary) .
That part of the S 1/2 - NW 1/4 Sec. 15 - Twp 83 - R 24 W of the 5th P.M., Story
County, Iowa, lying North of Airport Road, East of Elwood Drive, and South of U.S.
Highway #30, described as follows: "Commencing at the Southeast comer of the SW 1/4 -
NW 1/4 of Sec. 15; thence North 87.0 feet to the point of intersection of the East line
of said SW 1/4 - NW 1/4 and the North R.O.W. line of Airport Road, said point being
the Point of Beginning; thence S 890 21' 55" W., parallel to the South line of SW 1/4 -
NW 1 , 81.9 feet; thence N 00 02' 05" W., parallel to the East line of SW 1/4 -
NW 1/4, 548. 19 feet; thence N 790 10' 15" E., 83.4 feet; thence N 840 33' 10" E.,
along the South R.O.W. line of U.S. Highway #30, 80.85 feet; thence N 850 49' 15" E.
continuing along said R.O.W. line, 490.55 feet; thence S 320 30' 40" W., along the
Northwesterly R.O.W. of C. and NW R.R., 716.65 feet; thence S 890 21' 55" W.,
along the North R.O.W. line Airport Road, 184. 15 feet to the Point of Beginning."

Bounded on the north by U. S. Highway 30, on the east by the Chicago and
Northwestern Railway, on the south by Airport Road and on the west by Elwood
Dri ve.
3 . From Zoning District A-1 to Zoning District 1-1
4. The reason (s) for requesting the change is (are) :
1-1 is the highest and best use for the property.
5. Intended uses (required under "C-5" zoning only) :
Not applicable.
