A. Preliminary Plat - Oakwood
First Addition
B. Planned Unit Development -
Oakwood Apartments
C. C-5 Planning Requirements -
Racquet Club
Honorable Mayor and Members of City Council:
The Planning and Zoning Commission during its meeting of May 18, 1977, con-
sidered the above requests and hereby recommends the following:
A. Preliminary Plat - Oakwood First Addition
That we approve the plat as presented contingent upon meeting
engineering and technical requirements.
An additional motion was approved:
That Council change the R-1 and R-2 line to go down the center
of Marjo Drive and between Lots 15 and 16.
Both motions carried unanimously, 7-0.
B. Planned Unit Development - Oakwood Apartments
That the Planned Unit Development be approved as presented.
An additional motion was approved:
That we recommend the City engineering staff prepare a study on the
impact of this development and that they not limit themselves to the
area, but also look into a larger area (within a one-half mile radius

of the intersection of U. S. 30 and Elwood Drive, including Oakwood
Road) and to investigate walkways and bike paths along the streets.
The motions carried unanimously, 7-0.
C. C-5 Planning Requirements - Racquet Club
This proposed C-5 project meets the planning requirements of the
C-5 ordinance except for the financial statement, the plat, and
the FAA approval, which will be brought in at a later date.
The motion carried 5-0-2, with Riis and Nichol abstaining.
Please find attached copies of the Department's reports on these items.
It is anticipated that Mr. Cochrane and his representatives will attend the
Council meeting and fully explain in detail the three proposals.
