AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP OF THE CITY OF AMES,
IOWA, ADOPTED BY SECTION 38-1005 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE t
?�. CITY OF AMES, IOWA; CHANGING THE BOUNDARIES OF THE DISTRICTS
ESTABLISHED AND SHOWN ON SAID,.MAP AS PROVIDED IN SECTION 38-1006
OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF AMES, IOWA, AND TO AMEND THE
Q ZONING REGULATIONS PROVIDED IN SAID MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF
AMES, IOWA; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES AND PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN
CONFLICT HEREWITH .AND ESTABLISHING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Ames, Iowa:
Section 1. The Official Zoning Map of the City of Ames, Iowa
adopted by ection 38-1005 of the Municipal Code of the City of
Ames, Iowa, is amended by changing the boundaries of the districts
established and shown on said Map in the manner authorized by
Section 38-1006 of the Municipal Code of the City of Ames, Iowa,
and amending the zoning regulations provided in said municipal
code as follows:
That the following described property be rezoned from
A-1 (Agricultural ) zoning district to
R-2 (Two Family- Dwelling) zoning district.
A part of the south half of Section 31 , Township 84 North, Rage 24 west of
the 5th P.M. , Story County, Iowa described as follows: Beginning at the
south quarter corner of said Section 31 , thence north 88 47'25" west along
the south line 8f the southwest quarter, 7.85 feet; thence north 1295.89 feet;
thence south 80 58135" east, along the south right of gay line of the Chicago
and Northwestern Railroad, 983.72 feet; thence south 9 01 '25" west 25.00
feet; thence continuing along said right of way line south 80058'35" . east,
323.91 feet; thence south along the east line of the southwest quarter
southeast quarter, said line also eing the west line of the Gown of
Ontario, as originally platted, 10 9.07 feet, thence south 89 40'40" west,
along the south line of the southeast quarter, 1279.70 feet to the point of
beginning. Containing 35 acres in an area generally described as on the
north side of Ontario Road one-quarter mile west of North Dakota Avenue.
Section 2'. All other ordinances and parts of ordinances in
conflict herewith are hereby repealed to the extent of such
conflict.
Section 3. This ordinance is in full force and effect from
and after its adoption and publication as provided by law.
