HomeMy WebLinkAbout~Master - Amending Official Zoning Map, Rezoning Harlan School Area From C-4 to R-3 V� F ORDINANCE NO. 2finn AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP OF THE CITY OF AMES, IOWA, ADOPTED BY SECTION 38-1005 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF AMES, IOWA; CHANGING THE BOUNDARIES OF THE DISTRICTS ESTABLISHED AND SHOWN ON SAID MAP AS PROVIDED IN SECTION 38-1006 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF AMES, IOWA, AND TO AMEND THE ZONING REGULATIONS PROVIDED IN SAID MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF AMES, IOWA; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES AND PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH AND ESTABLISHING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Ames, Iowa: Section 1. The Official Zoning Map of the City of Ames, Iowa adopted by Section 38-1005 of the Municipal Code of the City of Ames, Iowa, is amended by changing the boundaries of the districts established and shown on said Map in the manner authorized by Section 38-1006 of the Municipal Code of the City of Ames, Iowa, and amending the zoning regulations provided in said municipal code as follows: That the following described property be rezoned from C-4 (Retail Commercial ) zoning district to R-3_ (Multiple family dwelling) zoning district. Beginning at the intersection of the north right-of-way line of Arbor Street and the east right-of-way line of Hyland Avenue ig the City of Ames, Story County, Iota; thence North 338.4 Feet; thence S89 37'20" E. 200. 1 Feet; thence N00 10'40" W. 129.6 Feet; thence S39 37'20" E. 103.36 Feet; thence S00 03'00" W. 467.8 Feet; thence N39 39'50" 11. 302.7 Feet to the point of beginning, all in the NWR4 NW,- Section 9, T83N R24W of the 5th P.M. containing 2.7 Acres. `:) �_t (Known as the Harlan School Site) INST.
