Paul , City Clerk 1)A SUBJECT Status of Gateway Hills Rezoning Proceedings DECEMBER 16, 1975 - Request to rezone Gateway Hills, between US30 and Mortensen Road, west of Beach/Elwood Drive, from A-1 and R-1 to R-2 (PUD) referred to Planning & Zoning Commission. FEBRUARY 17, 1976 - Planning & Zoning Commission recommended approval and March 16, 1976 set as date of hearing. MARCH 16, 1976 - Hearing held. Several persons spoke for and against the rezoning and the hearing then declared closed. * �Motion (Maxwell-Koerber) to approve subject to the following conditions: 1. th he and st' din that it will not be finally approved until the ownership qu ion been e ermined. 2. Th all land acent to the homes on Ashmore Drive be actually developed at si gl fa .,ly esidences as proposed in the plan presented at this meeting. 3. That proposed Mortensen Road be constructed all the way through to Elwood rive 4. That Council approve the preliminary plat after, or concurrent with, the final reading of the proposed ordinance amending the zoning. 5. That the zoning in the area designated for single family dwellings remain R-1. After discussion a; motion was made, seconded and carried to table the matter for the time being. * Because 34.6% of property owners in the protest area objected to the rezoning, five affirmative votes are necessary to pass the zoning amendment.
