HomeMy WebLinkAbout~Master - Establishing a Period of Amortization for 1975 Street Program No. 1 ORDINANCE NO. 2580 AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING A PERIOD OF AMORTIZATION FOR THE 1975 STREET PROGRAM NO. 1 WHEREAS, in strict compliance with Chapter 384 of the Code of Iowa, 1975, as amended, this Council did, pursuant to Resolution of Necessity duly adopted, order the construction of 1975 Street Program No. 1, such improvements having been duly completed, the work accepted and the final assessment schedules as filed by the Engineers having been approved and adopted; and WHEREAS, this Council by resolution did confirm and condi- tionally levy the deficiencies which appear in the aforementioned final schedule of assessments and certify and order the filing of a listing of said deficiencies with the County Auditor of Story County and to John Luchan, being the City Official charged with th responsibility of issuing permits in the City, all in accordance with and in strict compliance with Section 384.63 of the Code of Iowa, 1975, as amended; and WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 384.63 of the Code of Iowa, 1975, as amended, it is necessary for the Council to establish by Ordinance a period of amortization for the 1975 Street Program No. 1; NOW, THEREFORE, Be It Ordained by the City Council of the City of Ames, in Story County, Iowa, as follows: Section 1. That the useful life of the 1975 Street Program No. 1 is hereby established to be ten (10) years. Section 2 . That the amortization period of ten (10) years shall commence on the date this Council finally accepted the 1975 Street Program No. 1 by resolution passed on the 21st day of December, 1976. Section 3 . That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed. Section 4. That if any section, provision or part of this Ordinance shall be adjudged invalid or unconstitutional, such adjudication shall not affect the validity of the Ordinance as a whole or any section, provision or part thereof not adjudged invalid or unconstitutional. Section 5. That this Ordinance shall be in effect after its final passage, approval and publication, as provided by law. Passed this 4th day of January, 1977.
