TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN:
You are hereby notified that the City Council of the City
of Ames, Iowa, will meet in the council chambers at 7 : 30
p.m. on October 19, 1976, to consider a proposed ordinance
rezoning property located at 727 Fifth Street, 719 Fifth
Street, 715 Fifth Street, 711 Fifth Street, 503 Grand Avenue ,
507-509 Grand Avenue, and 515 Grand Avenue from R-4 (Multiple
Family Residential) and C-1 (Office and shop) to C-5 (Planned
Commercial) .
The above rezoning has been recommended to the City Council
by the Ames City Planning and zoning Commission.
Your property is not under consideration for rezoning. How-
ever, since your property is within 200 feet of the tract
being rezoned, you are invited to attend the Ames City
Council meeting to express your opinions either for or against
the proposed rezoning.

NOTICE OF HEARING
You are hereby notified that the City Council of the City of
Ames, Story County, Iowa, will meet at 7 : 30 p.m. , October 19,
1976, in the Council Chambers, Administration Building, to con-
sider a proposed amendment to the Official Zoning Map of the
City of Ames, Iowa, by changing the boundaries of the districts
as shown on said map as provided in Section 38-1006 of the Muni-
cipal Code of the City of Ames , Iowa, as follows :
That the following described real estate, located
generally at 727 Fifth Street, 719 Fifth Street, 715
Fifth Street, 711 Fifth Street, 503 Grand Avenue ,
507-509 Grand Avenue , and 515 Grand Avenue be rezoned
from R-4 (Multiple Family Residential) and C-1 (Office
and Shop) to C-5 (Planned Commercial) .
All of lots 2, 3 and 5, Block 25 of College Park
Addition, lst North. The East 38 ' of Lot 4 and
12 ' East side also of Lot 4 of Swanks Subdivision.
You are further notified that the ordinance incorporating such
change is on file in the office of the City Clerk. Any interested
person may appear for or against the proposed ordinance .
