Pyle request for rezoning of property located at 727 Fifth Street, 719 Fifth Street, 715 Fifth Street, 711 Fifth Street, 503 Grand Avenue, 507-509 Grand Avenue, and 515 Grand Avenue from R-4 and C-1 to C-5. Honorable Mayor and Members of City Council: The Planning and Zoning Commission during its meeting on September 1, 1976, considered the above request for C-5 zoning and approved same by voting favorably on three separate motions by votes of 5-1-1, 6-0-1, and 6-0-1 respectively: That we approve the C-5 zoning. VOTING AYE: Shaughnessy, Lex, Nichol, Shank, Thurston. VOTING NAY: Cholvin. ABSTAINING: Riis. That the list be amended to include residences. VOTING AYE: Thurston, Lex, Nichol, Shaughnessy, Shank, Cholvin. VOTING NAY: None. ABSTAINING: Riis. That we accept the list of permitted uses. VOTING AYE: Thurston, Lex, Nichol, Shaughnessy, Shank, Cholin. VOTING NAY: None. ABSTAINING: Riis. Combining Education and Industry with Hospitality _ Honorable Mayor and Members of City Council September 15, 1976 Page Two. It is the intention of the developer to construct a two story office building with ground floor commercial uses. Those uses as are recommended for approval by the Planning and Zoning Commission for the entire complex include the fol- lowing: Apothecary Shop Barber Shop Beauty Shop Small Retail Specialties Shop (such as an Art Studio) Gift Shop Photography Studio Business and Professional Offices (such as Accounting, Law, Insurance, Dental, Optometry) Savings and Loan Institution Residences As required by C-5 regulations, the development plans for this site will be submitted at a later time for review and approval by both the Planning and Zoning Commission and City Council prior to the issuance of building permits. I have attached for your reference a copy of a map depicting the extent of this C-5 zoning request. Respectfully, Patrick J.
