Re it ordained by the City Council of
the City of Ames, IOSV::t,
Sec. I. That it sha11 be the duty of
the City Rngineer to carefully inspect,
esamine and test, once in each year,
commencing the first of the month sue -
ceeding his election or ap
pointment, and-:

to the standard adopted, and if such .
weighing or measuring instruments is of
the same,

such a character that it cannot be con-
