ORDINANCE NO. 2544
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP OF THE CITY OF AMES,
. IOWA, ADOPTED BY SECTION 38-1005 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE
CITY OF AMES, IOWA; CHANGING THE BOUNDARIES OF THE DISTRICTS
ESTABLISHED AND SHOWN ON SAID MAP AS PROVIDED IN SECTION 38-1006
OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF AMES, IOWA, AND TO AMEND THE
ZONING REGULATIONS PROVIDED IN SAID MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF
AMES, IOWA; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES AND PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN
CONFLICT HEREWITH AND ESTABLISHING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Ames, Iowa:
Section 1 . The Official Zoning Map of the City of Ames, Iowa
adopted by Section 38-1005 of the Municipal Code of the City of
Ames, Iowa, is amended by changing the boundaries of the districts
established and shown on said Map in the manner authorized by
Section 38-1006 of the Municipal Code of the City of Ames, Iowa, III
and amending the zoning regulations provided in said municipal
code as follows :
That the following described property be rezoned from
A-1 (Agricultural) zoning district to
C-5 (Planned Commercial. Developmeing district.
A part of the EZ of Sec. 16, T83N-R24W of the 5th P.M. ,
Story County, Iowa, described as follows : Beginning at a
• point on the centerline of said Ses. 16, which is 120.0 '
West of the E4 corner; Thence S 5 42130" E. , along the
West ROW line of Beach Ave. , 402 .01 , to a point which is
400.0' South and 80 .2 ' Westerly of the E4 corner of Sec . 16;
Thence N. 89029 ' 55 " W. , along a line parallel to and 400 .0 '
Southerly from the North line of SE4. 1603.6 ' ; Thence N. 00
00 ' E. , 1060 .2 ' , to a . angle point in the South ROW line of
Primary Road #30; Thence S . 71005 ' 55" E. , along said ROW
line, 526. 71 ; Thence �outh 78047 ' 35" E. , along ROW line,
647. 55' ; Thence S .> 79 58 ' E. , along the ROW line, 302.45 ' ;
Thence S. 32 09 ' 25" E. , along the ROW line 251.1 ' ; Thence
S . 0044110" W. , along the ROW line 112.15 ' to the point of
beginning. Tract contains 30 .52 acres .
Section 2 . All other ordinances and parts of ordinances in
conflict herewith are hereby repealed to the extent of such
conflict.
Section 3 . This ordinance is in full force and effect from
and after its adoption and publication as provided by law.
