RE: Request of James Ackerman for rezoning
of property located at the northeast
corner of East 13th Street and Dayton
Avenue
Honorable Mayor and Council Members:
At its meeting of November 14, 1975, the Ames City Planning and Zoning Commission
considered the request of James Ackerman for rezoning of property located at the
Northeast corner of East 13th Street and Dayton Avenue from "A-l " to "I-l " and
"C-2" (General Commercial ) for the purpose of constructing a Motel and Convention
facility. Drawings of the proposed facility were presented and discussed.
Discussion also took place on the subject of traffic as related to 3M Company and
Sundstrand Corporation.
A motion was made and carried unanimously to recommend to City Council that the
rezoning request be approved.
