SUBJECT Changes to Proposed Cable TV Ordinance
Listed below are changes to the proposed cable TV
ordinance sent to you with my cover letter of January 4 ,
1973 :
(1) Strike all of Section 36-11010 and substitute
a new Section 36-11010 as follows :
Section 36-11010 - Access Channels .
A Grantee shall provide access channels, subject to the
regulations of the Federal Communications Commission, as follows :
(a) One specially designated, non-commercial public
access channel available on a first-come, non-dis-
criminatory basis.
(b) One specially designated channel for use by the
Ames Community School District.
(c) One specially designated channel for use by the
City pursuant to the polices and directions of the
City Council.
(2) Add to Section 36-11011 an additional subsection as
follows :
(3) A Grantee shall establish and maintain within the
City of Ames a local business office, which office shall
be open for business between the hours of 8 : 00 a.m. and
5: 00 p.m. , Monday through Friday, except on delcared
national holidays , and said office -shall be appropriately
staffed to receive and answer all subscriber complaints .

11026 (1) .
