AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE OFFICIAL" ZONING MAP OF THE CITY OF AMES,
IOWA, ADOPTED BY SECTION 38-1005 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE
CITY OF AMES, IOWA; CHANGING THE BOUNDARIES OF THE DISTRICTS
ESTABLISHED AND SHOWN ON SAID MAP AS PROVIDED IN SECTION 38-1006
OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF AMES, IOWA; REPEALING ALL
ORDINANCES AND PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH AND ES-
TABLISHING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AMES ,
IOWA:
Section 1. The Official Zoning Map of the City of Ames ,
Iowa, adopted by Section 38-1005 of the Municipal Code of the
City of Ames, Iowa, is amended by changing the boundaries of the
districts established and shown on said Map in the manner author-
ized by Section 38-1006 of the Municipal Code of the City of
Ames, Iowa, as follows :
Lots 4, 5, South 59. 5 feet of Lot 6, North 30 feet of
Lot 7 , Lots 8, 9, 12-15, 18, 20-22 of Reistes Timberland
Heights Subdivision; Lots 1-5, South 70 feet of Lot 12,
x Lots 13, 14 of .Christensens Timberland Addition; Comm-
encing at a point 170.7 feet S and 677.4 feet W of the
center of Sec. 16, Twp. 83N, R 24W, thence S 2031' W
552. 9 feet along the W line of Reistes Timberland Heights t
Subdivision; thence S 36017 ' W 166. 6 feet; thence S 9*56 '
E 342 feet; thence S 32*13 ' W 258.1 feet to the center-
line of the county road; thence S 84041' W 435.1 feet;
thence N 0011 ' W 1,295. 5 feet; thence S 88050' E 638.7
feet to the point of beginning, except for the county
road right-of-way on the South.
Sub Lot Two (2) of Lot Thirteen (13) and Sub Lot One (1)
of Lot Fourteen (14) of Auditor's Plat of Lots Thirteen
(13) and Fourteen (14) of Christensen's Subdivision in
the West Half (W-1/2) of Section Sixteen (16) , Township
Eighty Three (83) North, Range Twenty-four (24) West of
the 5th P.M. , Iowa; subject to presently established
roads, and subject to existing railroad right-of-way,
and subject to easements of record.
Commencing SE corner, Lot 14 , SW 210' , N 430.2' to
r, point of beginning. NE 100 ' , SW 196.1' , NW 117.7 ' to
RR SW 82. 4 ' , SW 74.2' , SE 52.4 ' SE 298. 5' along N line
Lot "SL" to point of beginning.
Beginning 210' West of the Southeast Corner, Lot 14 ;
thence West 225. 71 , North 408.7 ' , Northwest 73. 5' , East
298. 5' , and South 430.2' ;
are transferred from the "A-l" (Agricultural) District to the
"S-2 " (Suburban Dwelling) District and shall be governed by all
the provisions and regulations pertaining to the "S-2" (Suburban
Dwelling) District.
Section 2. All other ordinances and parts of ordinances
in conflict herewith are hereby repealed to the extent of such
conflict.

Section 3. This ordinance is in full force and effect
from and after its adoption and publication as provided by law.
