AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP OF ONE C E#ili'bpp
AMES, IOWA, ADOPTED BY SECTION 38-1005 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE "Corder
OF THE CITY OF AMES, IOWA; CHANGING THE BOUNDARIES OF THE
DISTRICTS ESTABLISHED AND SHOWN ON SAID MAP AS PROVIDED IN
SECTION 38-1006 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF AMES,
IOWA; AND REPEALING ANY AND ALL ORDINANCES AND PARTS OF
ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH.
IOWA: BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AMES ,
Section 1. The Official Zoning Map of the City of Ames,
Iowa, adopted by Section 38-1005 of the Municipal Code of the
City of Ames, Iowa, is amended by changing the boundaries of the
districts established and shown on said Map in the manner author-
ized by Section 38-1006 of the Municipal Code of the City of
Ames, Iowa, as follows :
The East 30.37 acres of Lot Two (2) , in the West
Half (W-1/2) of the Northeast Quarter (NE-1/4) ,
except the West 375 feet of the North 215 feet
thereof; also Lot Two (2) in the East Half (E-1/2)
of the Northeast Quarter (NE-1/4) ; also Lot Three
(3) in the Northeast Quarter (NE-1/4) of the
Southeast Quarter (SE-1/4) ; also the Northeast
Quarter (NE-1/4) of the Northwest Quarter (NW-1/4)
of the Southeast Quarter (SE-1/4) ; except for such
part of the Northeast Quarter (NE-1/4) of Section 6,
Township 83 North, Range 24 West of the 5th P.M. ,
in the City of Ames , Story County, Iowa, described
as follows : Beginning at a point which is 1048.5
feet West and S 0046 ' W. , 33.0 feet, from the
Northeast corner of Said Section 6 ; thence S 0046 '
W. , 887.0 feet; thence West, 562.8 feet to the point
of beginning of a 200.0 foot curve, concave to the
Northeast; thence Northwesterly along said curve,
313,75 feet to a point of tangency; thence N 0007'
W. , 123.9 feet to the point of beginning of a 200
foot radius curve concave to the Southeast; thence
Northeasterly along said curve, 157.1 feet to a
point of tangency; thence N 44053' E. , 134.1 feet
to the point of beginning of a 200 foot radius
curve concave to the Northwest; thence Northeasterly
along said curve, 157.10 feet to the point of tangency;
thence N 0007' W. , 185.0 feet; thence N 89058' E. ,
along a line parallel to 33 feet Southerly from the
North line of the Northeast Quarter (NE-1/4) , 564 .1
feet to the point of beginning-, all in Section 6 ,
Township 83 North, Range 24 hest of the 5th P.M. ,
Story County, Iowa;
is transferred from the "R-3" District (Multiple Family Dwelling)
to the "R-2" District (Two Family Dwelling) and shall be governed
by all the provisions and regulations pertaining to the "R-2"
District(Two Family Dwelling) .
Section 2. All other ordinances and parts of ordinances
`in conflict herewith, are hereby repealed to the extent of such
conflict.
Section 3. This ordinance is in full force and effect
from and after its adoption and publication as provided by law.
