AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP OF THE CITY OF
AMES, IOWA, ADOPTED BY SECTION 38-1005 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF
THE CITY OF AMES, IOWA; CHANGING THE BOUNDARIES OF THE DISTRICTS
ESTABLISHED AND SHOWN ON SAID MAP AS PROVIDED IN SECTION 38-k006
OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF AMES, IOWA; AND REPEALING
ANY AND ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT
HEREWITH.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AMES, IOWA
Section 1. The Official Zoning Map of the City of Ames, Iowd,
adopted by Section 38-1005 of the Municipal Code of the City of
Ames, Iowa, is amended by changing the boundaries of the districts
established and shown on said Map in the manner authorized by
Section '38-1006 of the Municipal Code of the City of Ames, Iowa,
as follows :
A part of Sec . 8, Twp. 83N R24W of the 5th P.M. , City of
Ames, Story County, Iowa, described as follows : "Commencing
at a point on the east line of the W 3/8 of the N 3/4 of
the Wz of the NE4 of said Sec. 8, which is 524 feet southerl
of the NE corner thereof; thence west 220 feet; thence
southwesterly to the intersection of the centerlines of
Dotson Drive and Baughman Drive; thence southerly along the
centerline of Dotson Drive 30 feet, thence E- 1163 .1 feet;
thence N 10 34 ' 55" W along the E line of the W 3/8 of the
N 3/4 of the Wz, 111.1 feet to the point of beginning. "
It being the intent of the previous description to zone
all land in the following described tract, not previously
(; zoned "C-3", to that classification. "A part of Sec. 8,
Twp. 83N, R24W of the 5th P.M. , City of Ames, Story County,
° Iowa, described as follows : Commencing at the N4 corner of
said Sec, 8; thence S 0013 ° 30" E 70 feet; thence S 890331W,
along -the southerly line of Lincoln Way to the centerline of
Dotson Drive, thence S 1034150" E, along the centerline
of Dotson Drive to the point of intersection with the South
line of Baughman Drive, extended East; thence East 1163.1
feet; thence N 1034 ° 55"W, along the east line of the W
3/8 of the N 3/4 of the Wz of the NE4, 565.1 feet; thence
West along the south line of Lincoln Way, 497.8 feet to
the point of beginning.
is transferred from the "R-2" District (Two Family Dwelling)
to the "C-3" District (Highway Commercial) and shall be governed
by all the provisions and regulations pertaining to the "C-3"
District (Highway Commercial) .
Section 2. All other ordinances and parts of ordinances in
conflict herewith are hereby repealed to the extent of such
conflict.
Section 3. This ordinanceis in full force and effect from
and after its adoption and publication according to law.
